9 weeks!!

Wow time is flying by! yipeeee nearly at the 12 week stage so exciting!!! just cant wait to see our little hubba bubba on the scan at 12 weeks.
Im sure there will be tears.
Sun is shining today FINALLY !! it makes you realise how much you actually miss summer, and how much the sun can actually make you feel happy.
Not much on my home front this week just hooked on strawberry milkshakes and vegemite on toast/crumpets/bread anything.
Havent been sick (yet) just feel sick on and off and tired on and off so im counting my lucky stars cause ive heard some pretthy horrific stories of morning sickness.

I tried having a conversation with a girlfriend the other day and kept forgetting what i was talking about half way through our conversation im sure it was very annoying after about the 3rd time .
Mega baby mash brain today i can hardly even type properly, im off to try and read a book.

husbands

Anyone who has a hubby should or would have to sympathise with me when it comes to that time of the night when he passes out in bed (on his back) and starts snoring quite loudly and you have to kick and shove (nicely he he) to make him roll over.

Well this happened last night and after shoving and kicking it wasnt doing much so i reached over to tap him on the head and found my finger lodged up something ?????

I pulled it out quick smartly to find it was his nostril :) GROSS!!
But i did have to laugh cause it bloody well woke him up and it was well stuck up there he he.
he stopped snoring too!!! BONUS

Tom Thumb

ok that pic is my early days picky when i was at 5weeks so thought i better put a pic up of it

Below is our first pic of our baby measuring 18mm so we decided its about size of our thumb nail (tom thumb)ha ha baby is 8weeks and 3 days yippeee !!

You can see the little cursor at the top of it and a cursor at the bottom thats our little bubba!!!

morning sickness

it seems i havent got away with out the good old morning sickness.
bang on hitting 7 weeks i got it but it seems to be on again off again sickness not just morning sickness or afternoon sickness its all day sickness ha ha.

im currently testing barley sugars to see if they help??
oh and
vegemite sandwiches it seems this little tike likes vegemite not marmite ?? funny that as i like marmite not vegemite.??
weird !
made spag bol on friday for the mother n law and i do not ever want to see that stuff again i have successfully put myself off it ewwwwwww oh and i nearly barfed after making the yummiest roast chicken meal last night.
so i figure small helpings will help me now, not man size meals that make me want to puke !!

I remembered!

I knew it would come back to me :)

We went to see the new batman movie on sat !
Wicked movie great icecream (food is my life at the moment)
ANDREW: "lets sit right up the back"
ME " nah lets sit in the middle so we get full effect"
ANDREW: (shrugs) (obviously not going to fight with the crazy pregnant person)
Movie starts.
Oh i need to pee.
1/2 hour later
Dam i need to pee again
another 1/2 hour
Dam dam i need to pee
ok so you get the jist of it 4 visits later im over going to the toilet.
Movie ends

ME: "lets sit at the back of theatre next time?"
ANDREW: "really? whys that?" (smirking)
ME: (defeated) "because i dont want 30 people in the theater to be wondering why the tall chick has to keep running out through the whole movie"
ANDREW: (snigger snigger)

Alzheimers!

6weeks and 3 days pregnant

I had something really interesting to write and then i forget !!!!

It seems this is another side affect of pregnancy , baby brain?
Actually things change daily, yesterday i think i ate enough food to feed ethiopia and some!!! (chocalate selfsaucing pudding with cream)

Pregnancy actually just feels like a constant kinda hangover because if you think about it...............
You wake up with the sluggish morning feeling where i just lie there and think oh shit i cant get up i feel crap & and i may be sick !!
And then after 15minutes I slowly dragmyself out of bed to avoid headspins and passing out i spend a good ten minutes in shower!
Then after trying to cover the face full of zits with a thin layer of concrete like foundation i emerge from the bedroom to my husband making me breakfast and a massive cup of tea.
Cant be bothered making lunch as im too tired!
Head to work cant be bothered working as i cant concentrate!
The day drags and im hungry all day and feel sick.
See where im going with this its definetly like a hangover!
BUt i suppose it would be different with every pregnant woman.

Lets hope that this is only just for the 1st trimester and things perk up a bit in 6 or so weeks !!

Geriatrics and midwives

I seriously think if you are going on holiday and are over the age of 70 you "SHOULD NOT" take a laptop with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it works at home just fine but as soon as you step out your front door and it stops working it is not the resorts fault you do not know how to use your flippin computer!
I had one man throw his toys yesterday (oh and yes its true when they get older they start going back to there childhood ways) because he couldnt use wireless in his villa.
Me "do you have wireless set up at home?"
Old Geeza "No but my computer has a wireless button!"
Me "so you dont pay for wireless at home just dial up?"
Old Geeza " thats right!"
Me (talking very slowly now) "Well that means you wont be able to use wireless here"
Old Geeza (throws a wobbly in the reception and storms out complaining that this resort is just making it too hard for him )

Oh and i fail to mention we have a computer that works perfectly well, next to reception but that would be too easy to use aye??

MOVING ON..................

Met with our midwife to be today, she seems ok how do you know they are not ok?
SHe seemed pretty straight up and we know someone who had there first child and said she was good so might as well go off other peoples experiences i think?
Who knows !

CHICKEN FEED AND DIRT ANYONE?

Things are still ticking along, have ongoing cramping in my uterus but lets just hope its from those lovely suppositories i have to use three times a day.

Spoke to my nana on sat after work for a catch up (think she was making sure i was taking it EASY!!) Anyway after telling her the goings on in my body and that i have a new addiction to swissmaid vanilla custard, she told me about her food cravings during her pregnancy with my dad and aunty and uncle, ha ha i was in tears all afternoon and the way she described how yum the food (if you call it that) was i was worried she could still find it very tasty.
*Mental note to tell family to watch nana*
Aparently on the farm she had to feed the chooks in the mornings and mix up the chicken feed with water and after a few weeks of smelling this lovely stuff she said she just had to hook into it and it was soooooooooooooo delicious i nearly wet my pants. But then she continued to tell me another craving of dirt !
I had to asker her twice you mean "DIRT" "MUD" "brown stuff in the ground?"
"of course " she says! Still sounding really convinced that this dirt was just a slice of heaven.
So after jumping the fence in paddocks to find some(clean??) dirt to eat as she was craving it really badly she got down to business eating it , the dirt ?? Ha ha well that was were the conversation ended cause any chance of a normal conversation was out of the question with me, ha ha ha
