Baby Blues

THey are real!!! and they suck!!
poor angus had to deal with it for the first week i just dont know why but i couldnt stop crying, im now on my 2nd day without crying so fingers crossed it was just a quick phase i went through.

Its a bloody scary job being a mum all of a sudden it just hit me like a freight train and i felt like a possum caught in the headlights of a truck!!
THe great thing is that you do get closer to your partner in the grand scheme of things i dont know what i would do with out my husband hes my rock and my heart. SOme of the baby books you read say that you could end up further apart then closer together (dont know where they get that from?)

Dusty is doing great!! Feeds sleeps poos (heaps) and thats about it!!!

We have been out of the house since she was a week old she is 10 days now.
Visiting people and just cruising.
COuldnt be bothered being couped up at home having constant strings of people coming to visit so just took off and had a nice day out.

Dusty put on 400gms in her first week so weighed 9pd4oz at 7 days old so be interesting to see how much more she chunks on in her second week.

SHes here

Well she has finally made her appearence,
Dusty Vienna May Pullen,
Born 10th April 2009,
weighing 8pound 6ounzes.
After 2 days of prelabour pains we headed to hospital to get induced at 7.30am on thursday 9th APril ,
after walking the hospital steps for hours we finally had some contractions kick in from 11am thru to 3pm when they broke my waters. Things kicked up a notch and we thought dusty would be with us by midnight, but after a jab of pehidine, my body decided it would stop altogether. so we waited midnght came and went and obstetricians decided we would try MORE drugs to bring on labour again and threw in a epidural for fun as well. So we had to wait 3 hours for the anaesthesitist to turn up so by 8.30am a very worn out Tanya finally gets her epidural more drugs to kick in contractions and we are told to wait 2 hours to see if dusty would like to think abou making a appearence. SO by 10.30am the specialists reviewed us (i was over it by then) and Dusty was determined too big and no progressing well enough so a emergency c section was decided on. My body started having convulsions by then from all the drugs an was wheeled in to theatre with a very worried husband with me, docs tell me to let them no if i feel anything when they pull her out ?? anyway they pulled an tugged (ew) and Dusty came out crying it was a pretty amazing feeling. :) Until i felt my insides being ripped out and screamed so was knocked out quick smartly under general and awoke in recovery room with a happy elated husband holding our baby girl and everyone asking me how i felt???? i was pretty wasted to be honest so just cried i think.

SHe is feeding gloriously and came out knowing how to breast feed lucky me :)
We are loving all bein at home now after a 3 day stay in hospital ad to get out of there it was doing our heads in. Poor andrew did some 7am to midnight stints in with me to calm me down as i had a pretty rough time. ANd wasnt too happy or healthy for a couple of days.

just in case

39week 4 day tummy

40week 4 day tummy

here is the 40 week 4 day tummy and the 39week4 day photo so one week difference there. Not sure if i have dropped i think she is so big she aint going to drop shes just filling in more room everyday she gets pudgier and pudgier ha ha

someone said they think im having a ten pounder today ha ha gee thanks

40weeks4days

yes i am still here!!! in one piece!!!
our litle angel hasnt made her debut yet so looks like she will be getting evacuated on Tuesday if all goes well.
After trying al the things people (you know the ones who think they are doctors) tell you to do to bring on your babies. I have come to my own conclusion babies come wen babies are ready and if you manage to be swallowing litres of castor oil or having hot curry or sex when they do come it is just lucky timing ha ha.
So madam will no doubt decide if she wants out in the next 36 hours or will get forced out.
Still getting heaps of movememtns and my braxton hicks are still uncomfortable and feel al bit like period pains, but from what i can tell its all just a build up to the big event whether it be days or weeks away (with some people)
Im feeling pretty sweet still no sleep but you get that, so just make the best of the situation and sleep when i can even if it is in 1.5 to 2 hour lots.
Angus has calmed down and got hold of himself and is ready for his little girl to come and seems quite calm now (thank god!!) i couldnt think of anything worse than having to calm my own husband down while giving birth ha ha.
its funny ive been thinking to myself alot, make the most of not having a sore foofee with stitches in it or a inside out bumbum or bleeding nipples (god i hope my dad isnt reading this) cause i am sure that is going to be a very trying time ha ha but just looking at my girl shoudl dissipate some of the pain.
hey since i have had a few invasive procedures in my time ie. needles going thru my uterus wall to pull out my egss to make this little angel of mine or having endometriosis burned off, or having the most painful period pains for days on end, maybe labour might not be so bad??? ha ha i wil let you know for sure.
oh on another nice TMI (to much information)note Im off for my 4th YES 4th Stretch n sweep tomoro just to give my litle munchkin one more shot of coming on her own. and then lunch with a few other Overdue mummys to be for a debrief without interruptions before these kids come ha ha.

stay tuned.....
